Made-to-Measure Window Shutters in Thurrock

Looking for interior shutters for a home in Thurrock? London Essex Shutters & Blinds is based in Brentwood and provides made-to-measure shutter consultations and fitting across Essex and London. Tell us your postcode and the rooms you have in mind so we can confirm appointment availability.

From a front-room bay to bedroom privacy or a wide glazed opening, the starting point is the window and how you use the room. We focus on interior plantation shutters. We do not supply security, roller or shopfront shutters.

Choose a style around your needs

Full-height shutters cover the whole window and can be specified with split-louvre control.
Tier-on-tier shutters have independently opening upper and lower panels.
Café shutters cover lower glass and leave the top visible.
Special-shape shutters need an assessment of the outline and opening arrangement.
Track shutters can suit wide openings where tracks and stacking space are appropriate.

What your consultation should cover

Explain your priorities: privacy from the street, glare at a desk, bedroom light, a coordinated finish or comfort beside cold glass. Ash can discuss samples and panel layout. The specification should account for recess depth, bay angles, handles, vents and opening space.

Ask for the material, finish, fitting, current lead time and guarantee terms in writing. Approximate sizes and photographs help the first conversation but do not replace final measurements.

Older windows or cold rooms?

For sash windows, decorative trim or a period bay, explore shutters for period homes. Keep original features, window access and conservation requirements in the brief. Full-window shutter coverage can help reduce heat loss when closed, but does not guarantee bill savings or replace repairs: read our shutter insulation guide.
